Paris gets an average rainfall of about 2 inches during April, with about 9 days of rain in total. (Fewer rainy days than in March.) That doesn't seem like a lot, but it happens mainly in showers. So it can rain a couple of times a day. The rain can arrive suddenly and can be heavy. You may have cloud cover.

The region south of Carcassonne, which is the Aude River valley, includes green rolling landscapes with gorgeous views. But the villages are tiny, agricultural, and asleep. The region to the west of Carcassonne is flat, full of vineyards and farm fields. Just to the north of Carcassone, the land is dry, but it rises above the town and offers Best Budget Option: Garni Gianmartin. Garni Gianmartin is a great option for those on a budget looking to stay right on the waterfront without breaking the bank. The hotel offers free private parking, making your stay hassle-free. The rooms, though small and dimly lit, are comfortable and offer stunning lake views.
At lake Garda most annoying are probably the small flies that hover in large clusters near the waters edge. I holiday in Bali every year so have all the possible Tropical anti-mozzie stuff - I also use it in Munich but haven't found a need yet for Lake Garda
