I know this post is old, but I noticed some fairly recent posts where people are having the same issue. LG did a shoddy job with the WI-FI module inside the TV, resulting in the ribbon cables getting crimped. There's a fairly easy solution for probably most of the people on here, although I'm sure it's a different problem for some.
Just bought TV about 6 weeks ago from Best Buy; it's an LG - 65" Class (64.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range. Model is 65SJ8500. As expected, the manual doesn't provide any useful information. And I haven't located any answers in my Google searches.
This is how to accomplish it: Press the Home button on your LG smart TV’s remote control. Select the LG content store. Click on Apps at the top of the LG content store’s website. Pick the Netflix app. You can update the Netflix app on your LG TV by clicking the “Update” button if one is there.
